Man of the Word

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2).

The purpose of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Men's Ministries is to promote the exercise of both physical and spiritual gifts through outreaches primarily to missionaries and church planters and through service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. The Man of the Word Program provides the additional dimension of promoting personal discipline and growth in each man's spiritual life through prayer, fellowship, and discipleship, including a discipleship manual for each cycle's theme.

Our current Man-of-the-Word (MOW) cycle will begin on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. with an hour of prayer for the men, at 7:30 for dads and teens, and at 7:40 for dads and younger boys. Breakfast will be at 8:00, followed by a short meeting at 8:30. Future prayer breakfasts in this cycle are scheduled for October 4 and November 8.

The theme for this cycle is Church His-tory: the First Millennium. The manual will be available as a hard copy in the church bookstore ($2) as well as a pdf. Members and regular attenders can access current and past manuals by clicking here and logging in.
